Shoe'icide- First 48

So let me tell you a story about these shoes. First of all i'm OBSESSED with shoes. As young as I can remember I always had an opinion on what shoes I wanted. I also had a strong opinion about when to wear my shoes. I begged my mom to let me wear my church shoes to school. You know the shiny black patent leather ones strictly reserved for your fancy Sunday dresses. Although she said no, I did sneak them in my bookbag to wear at school one day. Some would say I was strong willed or stubborn- I call it confident in my perspective.

I am so in love with shoes, they were included in my vows. For sickness and health…..shoes and more shoes. Check the tape- your girl ain't lying. When I shop for shoes, I rarely have a place in mind for them. I usually just walk into the store and let the shoes do the talking. On this day it was near my birthday April 4, 2019- not that it has to be a special occasion for me to shop for shoes 💁🏾‍♀️. I went to DSW because I was going to use my annual birthday coupon. When I go shoe shopping, I head straight to the clearance section because I almost always find a plethora of shoes that I like so it helps to limit my options sometimes. I've been known to buy several pairs at a time- this way I will at least save on the cost per shoe.

I usually never have an occasion planned for the shoes I buy- they just reside in my closet until the time is right. Trust me 99 percent of the time, it's not too long before they make a debut. When I saw these Micheal Kors beauties- I fell in love instantly.

When I put them on my feet Fabulous began rapping so clearly in my head.

You what's up girl, ain't gotta ask it

I dead 'em all now, I buy the caskets

They should arrest you or whoever dressed you

Ain't gon' stress you, but I'm a let you know

Girl you be killin' 'em

You be killin' 'em

Just know I had a full rap video strutting the aisles of DSW. You can then imagine my prue glee when I saw they cost $40!!! Normally over hundred dollars. I usually don't do stilettos but I made an exception for this shoe. It was well worth the foot pain I would endure later.

she got too much pride

Her feet are killing her, I call it shoe'icide

Looking good has it's sacrifices

After I bought them, I figured I would wear them to a wedding, after all the wedding season would soon be upon us. Little did I know I would be wearing it to THE wedding of the season- Tiffany’s surprise dream wedding. The icing on the cake- Jeremiah Brent, interior design extraordinaire, complimented me on my shoes. Of course, I had to respond back saying,” Thanks, It's Micheal Kors and I got them for $40 at DSW.” The true badge of honor comes when I get a compliment and a great deal on a pair of shoes.
